January - A recap

Finally a blog update.....

This is for me to remember and to share with all of u-

A RECAP OF JANUARY

WEEk 1

Family -

The first week of January was spent with my brother and my grandparents , was so glad to see them after such a long time ....Sahil the busy man that he is , was occupied with his college applications and other UWC stuff...Although we were able to create our own home theatre system with sahils laptop and our computer speakers ..so everyday we used to watch an episode or 2 of Prison Break before we slept..I find it better than Lost but almost as good as 24..
I considered this holiday of his as our last official holiday im not too sure why though , the summer holidays are there 2 , but maybe it was bcos in the summer we have extra classes ..The dreaded extra classes.Anyways Im not sure how its going to be now onwards , what if i go to India in 10th and he goes to USA or Canada or wherever ...What if our holidays dont match ....This is something I used to think about ....but then again I get the feeling everything will be all right ..

One main reason i look up to my brother for, is his will-power ....He doesnt smoke, he doesnt drink, he doesnt SWEAR and you see the good part is that I know that even if he starts smokin for example i know he'll be able to control himself i know hell be able to stop if he feels the need to .There was this time when i was around 8 , when i swore at him for the first time in my whole life, it makes me laugh now , he used to threatin me that he wud tell my dad if I didnt stop swearing ...Thats the one incident that made me stop swearing .. I agree i do use certain offensive words such as jackass and stupid shit but i dont go overboard..
I used to wait for him to go to UWC when i was in 8th ...and I have to admit I wanted to see how it was to be a llittle less restricted (so more freedom fo him and for me too)..and I didnt miss him much in the first year .. I enjoyed the freedom , but you see, since my brother taught me whats right and whats Wrong-Smoking, Swearing etc. all these things werent even 0.001% a part of my freedom.

All in all he taught me to be who I am, There were times in my life i used to wonder what made me different from the others , then i realised that everything was different I was a different person i had a unique identity, He taught me that to be different you have to be yourself.

In anycase the second year I must admit i do miss u a lot and i do miss my grand parents who have taught my brother and I many a lesson.

Week 2-

Ballkid -

The highlight of my life at the moment has got to be ballkid. I agree you must think im crazy considering the fact that the Dubai tennis open is clashing with my exams , but im sure its going to be worth it, even though all the frantic studyin and the super tired days are going to be a major part of my life. Quite a few practice sessions have gotten over at the moment . In a few days we should be getting our new uniforms and ofcourse the Barricade shoes im hoping we will be getting as part of the adidas kit.Till now its been so much fun ...took part in a tennis tournament after 3 years which I thoroughly enjoyed.. In anycase the tournament was thouroughlly enjoyable even though i got knocked out in the quarters or the 16's by the first seed..Gotta get some serious work done gotta do well in my assessments so that theres not too much pressure during the exams..Life is going to be hard for those 2 week but im determined..More on ballkid in future posts..

weeK 3 -

The beach -

Oh! how i miss the beach ...How i miss the time we spent together. I really miss it soo much and Im so glad that everyone was able to make it for the trip , it was the first trip which everyone came for and maybe thats what made it the best trip ever..Obviously there were many things that helped in making it the best trip..

1.Football tournament-

6 teams , 6 players per team ..2 proper goalposts sand and water bordering, tress opposite the water ...a beautiful scene for FOOTBALL!!!!!!!..The matches startedoff in a kind of boring sense bcos my team wasnt playing . Our team , The indian cows were weak but determined and this resulted in some unforgettable matches. The best part about beach football uis that u can jump and try stunts without getting hurt ..I tried an air-volley and another air-lob but unfortunately neither of my attempts were goals..Although i gotta say it felt good .The best part though , was when i scored a goal against Adrians team , the score was 2-2 and then i scored my first goal of the tournament it was a beautiful run (hehe aint i modest)...After the run i went for the shot and scoree.....I fell down after all that and Kanwal and a few oders ended up jumping on me...The next second Adrian scored a goal from the halfline with a direct shot ..beautiful goal ...but mine was better :-P.Then there were many other awesome matches ...but thats it for now ..The tournament could not be completed bcos of bad light.

2.The videos -

We had dug a huge hole in the sand ...with the hole we were able to make sooooo many funny videos ...they were so much fun to make ..All the actors were absolutely amazing ..Including the baywatch video which starred the siddhesh , the shaun and the nishant .There were many others including "The madame song" ...and what not..it was more fun than ever..

3.The song -

Atlast my first official performance in public ...I had always been hesitant to sing while playing ,
even though i had created a song with lyrics ..i had decided that this would be the day that i would sing the song titled "Waiting for you".
The best part was that it was the ideal location for me to sing .. the beach the weather was great and i had an audience and other members who were a part of the song ...Thank you guys ...its definately something I will never never ever forget..even though i miss it terribly .
The best part is that i have a video of the song so now ders no chance i can ever forget about it .

I must thank Sukirt for providing me with the battery of his camera THANK YOU SUKIRT!!!!!!..what a life saver .. without the battery it would have been shit.. and
thank you to everyone who helped in making the beach one of the best memories in our lives...The pictures and videos truly came in hand Thanks matt and sukirt..and Bill(Darien) for organising the tournament..THE BEACH is a half an hour video , created for memories sake.If you want to see the video please inform me .

The best set of friends a person could ask for.

wEEk 4 -

Sports Day/Marching Band/12th Graders -

As i sit here , about 30 mins before our sports day I wonder if ill be able to complete this post by the time my bus comes..Dont think so though , plus i need to see how the band thing goes only then can i complete my post.

And now , having returned home after an excellent sports day i shall complete my post.
The sports day was probably the best ever, it was the first year in which I was going to run on
the final day , It was so much fun running ..I was running for my house but unfortunately I wasnt successful.

Now moving on to the marching band ...It was so much fun...I remember when i was in 7th and 8th I used to wish i could be in the band ..but I cud never join as i was too young .
Being in the band is such an exciting thing ...

Anyways todays performance was pretty god even though we dint get the bloody new drums !!!!!!!!!! ...Although the cool part was that I did something different ..I dint use my boring drum as I couldnt find it ..I think they threw it :( ...No more legacy...But then again i got to use Dariens Awesomely awesome carribean drum...Its probably the best out of the lot ...even better than the new drums .. So , I marched on the final day with Dariens carribean drum for the Opening and closing ceremony ,..that mad my day better ..I was already pissed off that we werent gettin new drums and that my drum was missing..Whichever one of u girls used my drums . I must say u hid it well...Somewhere beyond my reach ..A special thanks to our Band leader Jithin and to Mr.Joseph and ofcourse Mr.Dil Bahadur .

The new tradition titled "Band run" has been set ..After the closing ceremony our band took a victory lap kind of thing .. Lets hope the tradition continues and that next years band dose the same.

Anyways I left my number thingy at school even though i wanted to take it home

Moving on ...

The 12th graders ....their last and final day .
I dont want to make this long and boring..

Thank you for supporting me when i needed the support ...Thank you for the encouragement ..Thank you for the walk the talks ...Thank you for the inspiration ....and all in all thank your for doing everything a brother does when my brother was away...

I dont want to state any names in fear of missing one out ..which wud be terrible ...
I just want to tell u that each of you that you have had a really strong impact on our lives ...And believe me when i say so Im going to miss each and everyone of you

I was glad to hear that some of u are getting into some very different fields..Glad to see that you guys dint stick to science and economics or the other usuals..

I was just going through some old photos that i had on my computer....It was nice to see how much you guys have changed, how you guys have grown ..

I TRULY AM GOING TO MISS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!
